This is a long video, please note the time stamps in the description to skip to certain parts! Ideas for a few math games! Enjoy and have FUN! Math is FUN! You are a math person! **Also for Greater Than or Less Than: When players both lay the same card and it is equal to, each player can lay down 2 cards, add them, highest sum gets it! DON'T TOSS YOUR PLASTIC EGGS!
Reuse them! #EathDay2020 Letter Match, Color Match, Number/Word Match, Shape Match, AND Subitizing!!! AND ALL OF THAT IS ON ONE EGG!!! Did I mention WORKIN' THOSE FINE MOTOR SKILLZ?!? 😍🤩 The eggs in the picture go up to number 10, however, you can go all the way to 26! (Subitizing might get tricky with high numbers so maybe 15 with subitizing unless you have enough room!). Once we got to ten I started writing color names... you can replace other options as well... add shapes and their names, etc. You can also: - Make the vowels a different color - put sight words, nouns, and adjectives on eggs, you can make sentences by lining them up! - make it harder by putting different colored eggs together. - depending on the eggs you use you can make CVC word blenders! (posted on Activities page in Red Box at the top) Enjoy! HAVE FUN! #Reduce #Reuse #Recycle 🌏🌍🌎💚💙💚💙 Mrs. Davis has been working hard on her letters and numbers! How about you?! Have you come up with different, out of the box, ways to make learning fun?! My kids and I LOVE play-doh, it's a great way to practice writing letters and numbers, also building/making creative artwork! Don't worry if you don't have play-doh tools... you have items around the house you can use! Pencils, forks, spoons, tooth picks, q tips, plastic eggs... We also like to draw outside with chalk! We will have to wait for all this new snow to melt first! Can't wait to hear from you!
I want all of you to know that I am thinking of you always! I miss all of your smiling faces and especially all of your warm hugs. I am so proud of all of you for working so hard throughout the year, especially now. I know this is a strange time and it's hard to understand why we are no longer able to be in school or be together. Just know you are loved. We want to keep you safe and healthy! Remember what we talked about in Social Studies, about the cold and flu and how important it is to wash your hands to get rid of all the bad germs... Being home is keeping us away from all those bad germs! It's ok to miss your friends and family during this time, I know it's hard, but know that we are here for you! If you feel sad, remember all the fun you had this year learning and making new friends and that soon you will have that same opportunity in 1st grade!! I know when I'm sad I think about all your awesome dance moves and how much fun we had in our class, you bring so much joy to my heart! Thank you for being brave, thank you for being BOLD, and thank you for being YOU! -Love Mrs. Davis
